The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus has finally folded its last tent.
The iconic spectacle will close forever in May.
While there are many reasons for the show’s demise, a company spokesperson told reporters, with Donald Trump in the White House, there was no way they could, in good conscience, continue to call themselves, “The Greatest Show On Earth.”
Don’t feel bad for the unemployed circus animals. The new, jobs-creating Republican president has already negotiated to buy all of the circus’s elephants and put them to work.
